URFC Mizoram lifts the Champion’s Trophy



Haflong, Nov. 13:- 10th CEM’s Cup’ 2014 Invitational Football Tournament which was being played since past twenty two days came to an end at the N. L. Daulagupu Sports Complex, Haflong last evening with the final match played between URFC Mizoram and KIYC Manipur.

Chief Guest of the ceremony and NCHAC Chairman, Ngamrothang Hmar, while giving away trophy expressed his happiness to participants for the successful completion of the tournament said that he looks forward for more participation from other states like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya in the coming years of CEM’s Cup Invitational Tournament.

Debojeet Thaosen, CEM of NCHAC handed over the trophy with prize money to the captains of the teams and congratulated them for achieving the position of the match. URFC Mizoram lifted the Champions Trophy with prize money of Rs. 2 Lacs by beating KIYC Manipur by 1-0 goal. The KIYC, Manipur received the runners up Cup with prize money of Rs. 1 Lac.
            The president of the organising committee Amit Daulagupu in his speech thanked  departments like PHE, PWD, DIPRO for their cooperation in holding the match successfully. He also thanked the sponsors like SBI, LIC, Nothao Mini Lodge etc. He also expressed his gratitude to all members of the Dima Hasao District Sports Association, referees and Asstt. Referees for grand success of the match.

The ceremony was attended by Kulendra Daulagupu as guest of honour and EM’s, MAC’s of NCHAC, Haflong, Dy. Commissioner B. Bhuyan, Dima Hasao, Police Personnel, Media persons, dignitaries and a huge number of sport lovers as spectators.
