Haflong, March’11: The Haflong based 43 Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles provided mushroom cultivation training, equipment and chain stores at Mahur and Laisong villages in Dima Hasao District. The 43 Assam Rifles handed over the mushroom cultivation MCA project to Gaon Burahs in presence of Secretary and village community.
Col R K Singh, Commandant, 43 Assam Rifles, speaking on the occasion assured that the Assam Rifles will continue with its goodwill projects for socio-economic upliftment of the villages in the district and opined provision of mushroom cultivation will improve the civic amenities for the local people.
He also said that such project by the 43 Assam Rifles under the Directorate General Assam Rifles Civic Action Program (CAP) will promote better relations between the locals and the security forces. While, the villagers expressed their gratitude to AR and assured all cooperation towards the Security Forces in the area.
