Relief aid Distributed to the earthquake victims of Nepal

Kathmandu, August 30, 2015 (Haflong News) : The relief aid mobilised by N.C.Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong in association with all Apex Body of Dima Hasao district was distributed to 200 families of Sudal VDC of Bhaktapur, situated at 45 km outskirt of  Kathmandu city on 27th August, reports Sonam Lama from Kathmandu to Haflong News through whatsApp today.

 

 According to the report, the ceremonial distribution   programme was hosted  by Samajsudhar Samitee of Sudal VDC, Nepal which was attended by Vice Chairman of Haflong Town Committee John Phoitong,  along with Krishna Chetri, Chitra Rana and Sonam Lama, all from Haflong.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council Sri Debojeet Thaosen handed over the amount to the Chairman, All Apex Body Kalyan Daulagupu who is also Dimasa Apex Body Janikhe Naisho Hashom President, in a press meet held at the CEM’s conference hall on victims on August 7, in the presence of several Executive Members and press men, representatives of different media houses of local and states.

Addressing the gatherings CEM Thaosen appreciated the people of Dima Hasao for their active cooperation and the response to his clarion call to extend their generous financial help for the Nepal victims.He also said this money was raised by organising concert on June 20th last which was a grand success, as the people extended their spontaneous response.
Apart from this the Apex body also collected rupees ninety seven thousand which was also handed over to the All Apex Body. A team comprising  Chairman, All Apex Body and the representatives from Gorkha Sports & Cultural Organisation would go to Nepal to hand over the amount to appropriate authority of Nepal government.
