Haflong, February 13,
2019:
Debolal Gorlosa formally assumed his office continuing his term as a
chief executive member for the 12th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council
(NCHAC) today.
The appointment of
Debolal Gorlosa as the CEM was notified vide government notification no
HAD.166/2013/56 on 12th February, 2019. After assuming office , he addressed the members of
autonomous council and also met the public.
Addressing the media,
CEM Gorlosa enthusiastically said,
“There are many works that are to be done
for this district and roads will be of top most priority, because good roads
will bring with it a lot of development and prosperity in our district.”
Thanking the finance
minister and the chief minister of Assam, Gorlosa is positive that with the
budget allotment for Dima Hasao for the financial year 2019-20 in the recently
budget session held in Assam Assembly, along with other issues the pertaining
water crisis faced in Haflong town will be solved permanently.
The long pending need
of school teachers’ quarters will be built in many interior villages to
encourage teachers’ attendance in posting areas.
It may be noted that absence of proper
amenities including lack of residential facility in interior villages has been
a major problem for the teachers on duty in those localities.
Speaking to the media
persons Debolal Gorlosa is confident that with his team of members in the
council he will surely bring a lot of changes for good within his term as a
chief executive member of NCHAC.
The election to the
12th NCHAC was held on 19th January, 2019, result to which was declared on 22nd
January, 2019. The notification of the list of executive members of the council
is awaited and will be notified on further information.
