Dry Day declared on October 26 and 27 throughout Dima Hasao

 Haflong, October 21, 2020 : The District Magistrate of Dima Hasao declared Dry Day for two days, October 26 and 27 throughout the district of Dima Hasao, vide Memo No. DH/CON/L&O/2020/ 1818-1822 Dated Haflong, the 21st October 2020.

The order stated that In pursuance of WT Message No. EX-265/97/PT/528, dtd. 16/10/2020 and under 326 (A) of Assam Excise Rules 2016,

 I, Sri. Paul Barua, ACS, District Magistrate, Dima Hasao declare closure of all liquor premises “ON” and “OFF” and also power conferred under Sec 52 (I) of Assam Excise Act 2000 declare Dry Day on 27/10/2020 for preservation of public peace in view of Vijaya Dashmi and Immersion of Goddedd Durga 

and hence Dry Day has been declared on 26/10/2020 and 27/10/2020 throughout the district of Dima Hasao.All bonded warehouses IMFL retail “OFF” and “ON” shop including Hotel “ON” and Country Spirit shops will remain closed during the said days.

Strict action shall be taken against those who violates the order relevant excise laws, added the order.
