Draft Electoral Rolls of16-Haflong (ST) LAC published

 

Haflong,
09th November 2022: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO)
Mrs. Nazreen Ahmed today convened a press meet in presence of political parties
and Election Officer Bruhid Rabha and ADC, A R Mazumder. at the DC’s conference
hall to publish the Draft Electoral Rolls of 16-Haflong (ST) LAC.

On
The occasion, the DC informed the meeting that the final electoral rolls will
be published on January 5, 2023. She
also informed the meeting that the Draft Photo Electoral Roll pertaining to
16-Haflong (ST) L.A. Constituency in respect of Special Summary Revision of
Electoral Roll/2023, has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of
Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. Copy of the same is published to-day i.e
on 09.11.2022 and is available for inspection at office of the undersigned and
at all Polling Stations, during office hours.

The
qualifying date for preparation of the Electoral Rolls is 1" January,
2023. If, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim
for the inclusion of a name in the Roll or any objection to the inclusion of
name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or
before 08.12.2022 in Form 6, 7, or 8 as may be appropriate.

Every
such claim or objection should either be presented in the Office or be
submitted through available online modes or sent by post to the address District
Election Office, Dima Hasao District, Haflong so as to reach not later than the
aforesaid date i.e 8-12-2022.

An
eligible citizen, who is going to attain the age of eighteen years on any of
the subsequent qualifying dates in the year 2023, that is to say, the 1 April,
2023, the 1" July, 2023, or the 1" October, 2023, may also file his
or her claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll, in Form-6, in
advance, starting from the date of notice, and the same shall be considered and
decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective
qualifying date.
