Haflong, February 20,2012 – With rest of the country, the
District Administration, Dima Hasao district observed Martyrs’ Day on January
30,2012 at Haflong.
The observation started at 10:59 AM with sound of Siren through FLS system by the District Information and Public Relations Department and observation of two minutes silence by requesting all to stand up and observe the silence. Then, a siren was again sounded at 11:03. This Martyrs’ Day has been observed in honour and remembrance of those Freedom Fighters who gave their lives during Indian Freedom movement.
