September 15 –Refuting the ASDC’s allegation, the Officers and Employees’ Associations of the Dima Hasao clarified about the news item published in a leading newspaper on 13th September,2011, which alleged over the matter. The clarification is self explanatory, which they handed over to local media in a press meet held today in the premises of the Council’s conference Hall, Haflong.
This is read “This is to certify that the Land Revenue Department, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council has not issued any plot of land to Shri. Debojit Thaosen, son of Shri. J.K.Thaosenof Haflong or any one of his immediate family members at Umrangso area. In fact, a plot of land measuring 750 bighas has been allotted to M/S J.P. Associates to set up million tons Cement Factory at 19 K.M. Umrangso area from the Council Khas land on realization of land premium amounting to Rs. 3,75,00,000/- (Rupees three crores seventy five lakhs ) only and advance land revenue of Rs. 1,87,500/- ( Rupees one lakh eighty seven thousand five hundred) only which have been deposited with the Council Personal Ledger Account vide Challan No. 2011/02/02071, dated 23/02/2011 immediately after receipt of the aforesaid amount. The land was allotted after observing all formalities as per land Rule.
Further, as per land record of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, has not allotted any plot of land to Shri. Debojit Thaosen or in the name of his immediate family members at Langting and Hatikhali area hitherto.
It may also be pointed out here that there is no any Masala Factory nor any proposal for establishment of such factory at Hatikhali or Manderdisa from any corner and no land has been applied for such factory from any body or any corner. No land plot has been allotted for the said purpose.
No land acquisition has yet been taken place for drilling or extraction of Hydro Carbon at Langting area so far.”
The certificate with a head line “To whom it may concern’ was duly signed by the Revenue Officer(E), Settlement Officer,Revenue Officer (W) and Principal Secretary(N), Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Haflong, given date 8/09/11.
There is also enclosue here that is read as “ This is to certify that the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council has not received any fund either from OIL INDIA LIMITED or IOT INFRASTRUCTURE & ENERGY SERVICES LIMITED for implementation of water supply scheme at Langting area as per PLA record of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.” Signed by Secretary, i/c Finance, Executive Committee, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Haflong with office round seal without date.
