22: - As part of the Chief Minister’s clean and green Assam mission
the Dima Hasao district administration under the initiative of the Deputy
Commissioner of the district Barun Bhuyan in collaboration with North Cachar
Hills Autonomous Council and Town Committee cleaned the market area of Haflong
early morning today.
The programme was taken up in view
to keep Haflong town clean so that the town looks majestic and its glory and
splendour as a hill station continues. The objective of the programme is to
inspire the people in town particularly traders around the market area of Haflong
to keep their environment clean and thus effectively contributing service to
the country.
Today’s cleanliness drive began from
Haflong taxi stand that continued to the market area including the fish market.
The cleanliness drive was effectively taken place. Large number of
administrative officers, medical officers, staff and citizens participated in
the today’s programme.
