Raijor Podulit Raijor Sarkar (RPRS) in Dima Hasao




Haflong, Jan 9 : The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council and the District Level RPRS Monitoring Team is all in its efforts to achieve success of the programme introduced by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to bring all developmental programmes close to people. The first round of meeting along with other programmes at the MAC constituencies under Diyung valley development block, Maibang from 8 am onwards on January 7 last.


The Executive Member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Samuel Changsan and Debo Prasad Hojai took active participation in the programme along with the members of district level RPRS monitoring team and officials from DRDA. The meeting highlighted the aim and objective of the programme and spread awareness among the general public about various government schemes. As a part of the days programme, cleanliness drive and plantation drive was also undertaken along with active participation of the local public. An interaction programme with public was held and receipt of the petitions of public grievances for taking up early redressal thereof. Inspection of Anganwadi Centres, schools, public health centres, hospitals and sub-centres, water supply schemes, fair price shops etc. were held.
The first quarter of RPRS commenced in the district from January 2, last as per theme - health, hygiene, sanitation, education and panchayat & rural development. The RPRS programme was launched with an objective for all round grievances at the people’s doorstep by creating public awareness about government programmes, bridging gap between the people and the administration assessment of needs and preparations of an action plan to bridge the gap transparency in the administration and identification of deficiencies in delivery system and improvement.
