Haflong Times

Haflong, February 9: A public awareness rally was held at Haflong town organised by the District Administration today. The programme was flagged off by Barun Bhuyan, Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao accompanied by Ramesh Thaosen, Principal Secretary, North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong and Sunil Nunisa, Principal Secretary (Normal Sector), NCHAC along with officers and staff of various departments.
The rally started from Cultural Institute Hall till rotary of Autonomous Council via Haflong bazaar was largely participated by local people, traders, apex bodies, students, NGO’s etc. 
The rally was organised to make people aware in general and particularly those organisations that such bandh culture hampers the development and progress of the district. The programme ended with vote of thanks.
