Haflong, March 20: A meeting was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Haflong in connection with National Electoral Rolls Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP) today. Election Officer Deepak Jidung presided over the meeting wherein it was discussed about the various objectives of the National Electoral Rolls Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP) which was launched by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi on 3rd March recently.
In the meeting authentication of EPIC data of electors, correction of age, improvement of image quality, etc., were discussed to make the electoral roll error free. The members present were also apprised about a special awareness camp to be held on 12th April. The meeting was attended by all Asst. Electoral Registration Officers of 16-HAflong (ST) LAC, Officers, political parties and media personnel amongst others.
