Haflong, April’28: The Haflong based 11 Gorkha Rifles battalion has carried out cleaning the most polluted part of the lake during the Haflong lake revival week. The area was full of water hyacinth and littered with age old garbage and bottles accumulated over the years.
The soldiers including the officers took part generously on Sunday morning cleared the nearby area and displayed their commitment towards restoring the natural flora of the historic lake situated in the heart of the Haflong town.
