Meeting on scientific method of Garbage management held at Haflong

Haflong, August 4 ( Haflong News 9 August 2016): A meeting on scientific method of garbage management by HaflongTown Committee was held at conference Hall of Chief Executive member, N.C.Hills Autonomous Council,Haflong. The meeting was organised by Debanon Daolagupu, C.E.O.  Haflong  Town Committee and presided by Debolal Gorlosa, CEM, N.C.Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong.


The meeting discussed on the placement of trenching grounds in scientific Method so that the garbage may not turn into harmful to human health and hygiene and also to recycle the garbage in various ways to use by all.
The engineers attending the meeting explained  about the scientific solid waste management  through display of projectors.

The meeting was also attended by E.M. Samuel Changsan,Niranjan Hojai, S.T. James Hrangkhol, Debojit Bathari, Ramesh Thousen, Principal Secretary and MACs of N.C. Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong,


Dr. Dipali Barman, Jt. Director of Medical and Health Services, Dr. Harpal Singh Suri, Supdt. Of Haflong Civil Hospital,   Gaon Burahs of Trenching areas, NGOs, Sr. Citizens and other dignitaries.
Earlier, the HTC notified to all  traders (shopkeepers/businessmen) and  residence(dwellers) in and around and in a vicinity of Haflong Town that in the greater interest of the generalpublic as well as to maintain and upgrade the Sanitation services and to keep the town hygienic, clean and green andd as per the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules 2016, henceforth, the Haflong Town Committee in order to collect and manage and dispose the daily waste a segregation process of waste will be maintained by providing two types of dustbin i.e.  bio-degradable (green in colour) for waste like paper, leaves, vegetable, etc. or any other matters that can be de-composed easily and non-biodegrable (blu in colour) for waste like plastic,glass, iron, electric bulb, tin, tiles, etc, or any solid materials that cannot be de-composed and for which the Town Committee bins will be provided at different location.
Therefore, the Town Committee do hereby notified and request all the traders and ressidence of Haflong Town to kindly dump their daily waste in a particular dustbin as provided for the purpose aand not to throw hither & thither in-between 5.00 am to 7.00 am so that the Town Committee can collect and dump the daily waste in the Trenchin ground in a segregation manner for further necessary processing from our end.
Any violation against the notification will be detected and recorded through installed CCTV camera for further necessary action of the concerned violators as per rule.
