Haflong, October 22, 2020 : There has been speculation over changing of CEM Debolal Gorlosa, which is baseless and is work of opposition party to defame BJP in order to gain political mileage for the forth coming Assembly election, stated Donpainon Thaosen, BJP Dima Hasao district president in a press meet on October 22, at BJP office, Haflong.
The pressmeet was also attended by NCHAC EM for medical, Samuel Changsan, Maibang constituency MAC Bijit Langthasa and newly inducted BJP member and former congress leader Hamjanan Langthasa.
According to Thaosen, speculation over change of CEM was shown in some section of media on October 21 from state capital. Those media said that the present NCHAC MAC Rahul Naiding will be the next CEM and have full support from both the state and central government.
“Rahul Naiding is also from BJP, if any decision has been made by the higher authority, then we will be obviously informed and about the police case there is court to judge.” Thaosen added.
Reacting to the media report, EM Samuel Changsan said, “Development in Dima Hasao has taken place much more under CEM Debolal Gorlosa and BJP government than any leader or party and we need more dynamic leader like him.”
“We condemn the particular channel that aired half cook news and wants a clarification how they named next CEM without valid information?” added EM Changsan.
The BJP also condemned, the speech made by Zed Nunisa against the CEM over social media as ‘derogatory speech’.
Nunisa is the CEO of youtube base news channel NDH and was former youth leader of Asom Gana Party. On October 29, Nunisa uploaded a video in social media where he criticized the CEM, which the BJP of Dima Hasao considered it an insult to the CEM with derogatory words.
Hamjanon Langthasa, newly inducted BJP member said, “How can Zed Nunisa insult the constitutional head of our district irrationally. He should immediately apologize for his own good.”
In a separate pressmeet, Dima Jalai Hosom, an unity organization of ex DHD cadre also condemned Nunisa’s speech saying that Nunisa called the CEM a “goons extremists” or goondas and demand Nunisa to apologise for saying so.
“We were those who fight for our right and not goons. Many of our brothers were maytyrs for our land and it is us who renamed our district into Dima Hasao, hills of the Dimasas. Using such words is an insults to us and our brothers who died for our land,” said Probin Hagjer, general secretary of the organistion.
