NCHAC Session on November 27, 2020
Haflong, November 28, 2020: The NCHills Autonomous Council held its
session on November 27 at the District Library Auditorium, Haflong and passed
few important decisions.
Conducted by its Chairperson Smti. Ranu Langthasa, the
session was held from 11 A.M by maintaining social distancing norms for
preventing the spread of COVID-19.
During the session, few number of questions tabled
were satisfactorily answered by the Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa and
also the concerned Executive Members.
In a historic record of the Autonomous Council of Dima
Hasao since 1952, a supplementary grant was passed today by the house for
pension of former members, EMs and CEMs of Autonomous council. Demand was
placed amounting to Rs. 19, 50,000 for the former members and Rs. 5,00,000 CEMs
and Ems of the council required in course of payment for the year ending 31st March 2020-21’.
When asked about the progress regarding Gunjung-
Maibang road questioned by Haflong MAC Daniel Langthasa, CEM Debolal Gorlosa
said that the work order has already been completed and the construction work
is to begin with an additional amount from MLA scheme.
Garampani MAC Joysing Durong also questioned various
issues pertaining to Umrangso and Garampani area regarding land, water crisis
issues and road which were satisfactorily replied by the CEM and the concerned
Executive Members.
With the end of the session the chairperson Ranu
Langthasa adjourned the house sine die.
