48th Weightlifting Championship to be held at Haflong from December 26 to 29

 

Haflong,
December 6, 2020 : The 48th Weightlifting Championship 2020
will be organized from December 26 to 29 at Haflong in Dima Hasao district.

 

This
was stated by the Secretary of Assam Weightlifting Association  Bhavajyoti Goswami on December 5 in a press
meet at  NL Daulagupu Sports Complex,
Haflong.

 

The
Press meet started with welcome address by the acting president of the
organizing committee Hrishikesh Upadhyay.

 

It
was also attended by the Secretary of Hufflong Body Building and Weightlifting
Club Pankaj Bhattacharya.

 

According
to them, the competition will be held  in
the premises of  the  District Library, Haflong, wherein  about two hundred fifty contestants are
expected to participate from different parts of the state. Besides, many
players from other states and international level may also participate in the
competition.
