Haflong, December 24, 2020 : One died while six persons sustain injury in vehicle accident at around 3:00 PM today near Ditokchera in Dima Hasao district.
As per information of one injured person, the incident occurred when the vehicle met accident due to brake failure near Ditokchera while coming towards Harangajao.
According to the him, the six persons cut bamboo for pandal and loaded in the vehicle, Tractor and were coming back towards Harangajao. When the vehicle was passing through down ward, the driver could not control the brake and met accident within a second. Thus, one of them died, while other six persons, including the driver sustained injury.
They 7(seven) injured persons are Shyamol Dakyason, aged 20 years, son of Mangal Dakyason of Maharajpur village; Chandan Tanti age 25 years, son of Mani Mohan Tanti of Silabari village; Subash Tanti, aged 32 years, son of Lt. Sunil Tanto of Silabari village; Kanu Nath aged 35 years, son of Kartik Nath of Dolaichunga Part-II vilage; Ratan Deb aged 45 years, son of Jitendra ch. Deb of Maharajpur village; Sibu Das, aged 47 years, son of Atul Das of Sibraipur village; Raju Soner, son of Kashiram Soner of Maharajpur village.
All the 7(seven) injured persons are from Harangajao under Harangajao Police Station in Dima Hasao district.
Among them, Raju Soner, son of Kashiram Soner of Maharajpur village was reported to have died in the incident.
All have been taken to Harangajao Hospital (PHC) but later, the injured were referred to Silchar Medical College.
