General Observer held Meeting with officials at Haflong

 

Haflong, March 13, 2021: V R Vinod IAS, General Observer for 16 Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly
Constituency, for the ensuing Assembly Poll in Assam held meeting at
Haflong with the Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Paul Barua, ACS Asst
Returning Officer Rajib Roy, Superintendent of Police Jayant Singh, IPS all the
officers in-charge and nodal officers of different cells constituted for smooth
conduct of the election.

The observer, V R Vinod took
stock of the poll preparations and directed on various aspects to the officials
engaged so that the election is carried out in a free, fair, transparent and
peaceful atmosphere.

Expressing his satisfaction
on the progress of the works, discussion with the SP and senior police
officials was done to ensure safety and security of the public as well as the
polling officials during the election process including the day of poll.

Considering the seriousness
of the terrain of Dima Hasao and the obstacles that might arise due to rain,
District Disaster Management Authority has been directed to be on a ready
position especially during the movement of the polling officials close to poll
day on 1^st April, 2021.
