Covid Vaccine precaution dose to senior citizens, health care and frontline workers begins in Dima Hasao

January 10, 2022:  Precaution dose’ of Covid-19
vaccine drive was ceremonially launched today, the 10^th January 2022
at Haflong Civil hospital by the Principal Secretary to the NCHills Autonomous
Council Smti. LZ Nampui in presence of Health ADC L. Khiengte and Jt. Director
Health Services, Smti. Dr. Diplai Barman.

The ‘precaution dose’ of
Covid-19 vaccine was thus started among the  senior citizens, health care and frontline
workers in Dima Hasao along with the country, amid the unprecedented surge in
Covid-19 cases in the Assam.

Employees engaged in election duty, DDMA, municipal workers, safai karmi  will initially be benefitted etc among
the front line workers.

 Vaccination for the armed forces
will begin as soon as their vaccines requirements in Dima Hasao is listed. 

It is to be noted that those who have crossed sixty years of age and with
co-morbidity are prioritized.

Dr. Dipali Barman, Joint Director Health
Services was among one of the beneficiaries of the vaccine during the launch
programme.

The beneficiaries who are eligible for their
third precautionary dose of covid-19 vaccine can either book an online
appointment or walk in to any cold chain centres viz.. Haflong civil hospital, Haflong
police station puja mandap, urban health centre, Jatinga SD, Mahur PHC,
Harangjao PHC, Maibang CHC, Langting PHC, Umrangso CHC, Gunjung PHC, Diyungmukh
PHC, Boro Arkap SHC.
