Relief Distributed among the Disaster affected families at Songpijang by KCC Assembly on 24 June 2022

 

Haflong,
June 24, 2022 : Relief materials were distributed this morning, 24 July 2022,
at Songpijang near Haflong by KCC Assembly among the replaced families due to
disaster in Songpijang and Khongsai villages.

The
distribution programme relief materials, cash with kind (2bags each Rice) were
received by 29 (twenty nine) replaced families from the KCCA Associate
Administrative Secretary Dr. H. Khongsai, Moderator Rev. H. Haolai, Literature
Secretary Rev. Thangkholet Khongsai, KCC Nagaland Synod Executive Secretary
Rev. Chungpao Khongsai, and Rev. Seimang Haokip.

Among
the 29 (twenty nine) displaced families, 23 (twenty three) are from Songpijang
and 6(six) families are from Khongsai village including Hossana Orphan Home.

The
distribution programme was conducted by KCC Assam Synod Executive Secretary
Rev. Martin Zairem Hengna, who welcomed all and introduced all leaders who come
from Manipur and Nagaland to the members present. He also introduced leaders of
KCC Assam, Chairman of Songpijang Christian Church and Chairman of Songpijang
Village Disaster Management Committee Elder H. Haolai Rtd. ACS, and others.

Rev.
Martin Hengna also said that all the disaster affected families could not be
given help this time as there are many such families. So, only those who are
displaced, whose house are damaged and are living in Relief Camp or in other
places

Speaking
on the occasion, KCCA Associate Administrative Secretary Dr. H. Khongsai said,
"all the KCC Church of Manipur and Nagaland shared the pains of the
problem you are facing here in Dima Hasao. To show our affection, all the
Churches collected free will donation and brought the same. Please accept it as
our humble donation and know we are always with you."

KCC
Nagaland Synod Executive Secretary Rev. Chungpao Khongsai also spoke on the
occasion.

The
distribution programme concluded with a vote of thanks and prayer from Asstt.
Moderator KCC Assam Synod Elder (Upa) Chungseh Thangew.

Then,
the Chairman of local Church, Songpijang Christian Church Elder (Upa) H. Haolai
request all the guest to take meal, which the Church prepared, which he
dedicated to the Lord in prayer.
