Aug 20 – It is learnt that the Government have now agreed to retain the existing MG Railway line of this Dima Hasao District. The media report that “The Meter gauge section from Harangajao to Migraindesa in the Dima Hasao district is planned to be preserved as heritage, Minister of State for Railways, Bharatsinh Solanki said in a Rajya Sabha reply to a question by Bhubaneswar Kalita.
The Minister, however, added that no proposal has been received to run luxury tourist trains in this sector.”
