In
order to bring about development and progress of remote villages of Haflong, 25
Assam Rifles under Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles has under taken many
development projects. One such project was done in the villages of Hokai and
Muchudi where in the villages were provided with Solar Street lights as the
villages have not been electrified till now.
The
village headman and the people of the both villages expressed their gratitude to
the Assam Rifles unit for bringing light to their villages. They requested the
unit to have more such good will projects in their villages.
The
gesture carried out by 25 Assam Rifles under aegis of the Directorate General
Assam Rifles has helped in building the basic infrastructure of the villages.
The effort will not only boost the relations between Security forces and
civilian but also generate goodwill in future.
