Haflong, Jan. 13 – The 89th Birth Anniversary of Atal Behari Bajpayee, former Prime Minister of India was observed in a simple but solemn manner here at the premises of Dima Hasao BJP District Committee office on Wednesday.
The Day’s programme was started with lighting of lamp and offering of flower tribute to the portrait of Sr Atal Behari Bajpayee by Dima Hasao BJP District President Hamjanan Langthasa, Karbi Anglong BJP District President, Arun Teron, Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong BJP in charge Ramkrishna Ghose, Banani Kemprai , Dethang Naiding and others. In this connection, a well attended meeting was held with Hamjanan Langthasa, President, Dima Hasao BJP District in the chair and was attended by Karbi Anglong BJP District President, Arun Teron, Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong BJP in charge Ramkrishna Ghose, Banani Kemprai and Dethang Naiding, Anup Langthasa, Hem Chetri, Donpainan Thaosen and others.
Arun Teron, Ramkrishna Ghose, Banani Kemprai, Anup Langthasa, Hem Chetri and Hamjanan Langthasa while addressing the gatherings appealed to the youth community to follow the philosophy of Bajpayee who has always advocated for the youth development through self employment. He was the person who during his tenure as the Prime Minister of India introduced several developmental schemes for the poor masses. Earlier, Dethang Naiding, General Secretary, Dima Hasao BJP District Committee explained the aims and objective of the meeting while saying that the life and contribution of Bajpayeeji for the over all development of the country has always been remembered by the people of India because Bajpayeeji was the only Prime Minister who had thought for the poorest of poor inspired by the BJP’s ideology of ‘integral humanism’.
