Jan 13 – Sri Jaynacharan Bathari, noted Dimasa folk singer and a recipient of prestigious ‘ Protima Baruah Pandey award this year released the Dimasa music Video album ‘ SHAINKHILM” under the banner of Dimabong Production in a simple but solemn function at District Library Auditorium on Saturday.
The function was attended by Jaynacharan Bathari as the chief guest while Dr Shilbhadra Hagjer, P Jeme, Cultural Office, Himadrika Bathari attended as the guests of honour.

This album is produced by Mr Protul Hasnu and Mrs Padma Bathari Hasnu, son-in-law and daughter of Sri Jaynacharan Bathari who also hails from a family with musical background. It is learnt that their first Album was released in 2002 with the 1st Album Gashaindi, after that they kept on releasing one after another like Ani, Kha, Bashein and many more.
Speaking on the occasion, P Jeme, cultural Officer said the his department has been encouraging the local talent who are enthusiastic in preserving their tradition and culture through such endeavor.
Dr Hagjer also appreciated the effort of Protul Hasnu and Mrs Padma Bathari Hasnu who have been trying their best in preserving the culture even at a time when the modern culture some time overshadowed the ancient tradition and culture.He hoped that they would keep on their endeavour in future also.
Jaynacharan Bathari, relentless worshiper of folk song and folk music expressed his happiness and appealed them to continue such works throughout their in the field of folk son and folk music, since there has been a trend among the new generation of forgetting their past.
