43 AR’s Blood Donation Camp on Army Day

 We can't give  life but can withstand life



On the occasion of 67th Army Day the Haflong based 43 Assam Rifles unit organised  a Blood donation camp on 15 Jan 2015 at Civil Hospital, Haflong which was inaugurated by Col RK Singh, Commandant, 43 Assam Rifles. Blood Donation is one of the noblest  gestures of humanity which promotes fraternity, unity and brotherhood and also serves to ensure peace, prosperity and progress of the nation.

The blood that has been collected during the course of the camp has been deposited at Civil Hospital Blood Bank, Haflong and will be used for life saving purposes for the needy like accident victims, premature babies, patients undergoing major surgery and LSCS patients. The blood donation camp received an overwhelming response from the security forces and general public. A total of 30 Assam Rifles personnel and 17 civilians voluntarily donated blood. The medical team comprised of medical staff of 43 Assam Rifles and Civil Hospital, Haflong. The local authorities and civil dignitaries of the district thanked 43 Assam Rifles for their gracious endeavour on behalf of local populace.    
The 43rd Assam Rifles also organized a friendly football match between Songpijang Youth Club and the troops of 43rd Assam Rifles to foster brotherhood and a sense of belongingness amongst the security forces and the youth of Dima Hasao.
Overall the whole strata of society thanked the Assam Rifles for doing their bit for the society deprived of basic amenities and the Assam Rifles also promised of all possible help to AWAM stating the moto:
“AWAM KE SAATH,FAUJ KA HAATH”
