Harangajao, April 5: Along with the rest of the country world TB Day which falls on 24th March was observed in a befitting manner at Harangajao.
Under the initiative of Dr. (Mrs) Kalpana Kemprai, Dist. Programme Officer, Revised National Tuberculosis Control programme (RNTCP) Dima Hasao a colourful rally was conducted on the occasion in which students of various Schools of Harangajao participated.
After the rally a meeting was held at Nokabling Cultural Hall, Harangajao and Mr. D.L. Bathari was the Chief Guest, Senior Citizen. At the outset, Dr. (Mrs) Kalpana Kemprai, DPO, RNTCP outline the various programme of RNTCP and also explain the significance of World TB Day which make the public aware of the dreadful disease. The chief guest also address the public on the importance of TB Subjects. The local NGO, Holy Spirit Hospital also participated and held a skit play on the occasion to highlight the importance of TB disease.
