Haflong, April’ 23 : As part of its civic action program and effort to serve the needy community in the district, the Haflong based 43 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector conducted a free Medical Camp at village Asalu under Mahur PS ,Dima Hsaso.
The day long camp was inaugurated by the DIG, HQ 22 Sector Assam Rifles Brigadier S P Vishwasrao, SM* in presence of the commandant, 43 Assam Rifles, Colonel R K Singh.
The camp was organised to prevent and treat various ailments arised due to climatic change conducted by the Senior Medical Officer and the nursing staff of 43 Assam Rifles, Haflong. All together 180 village communities from nearby villages of Asalu, Kaokang, Imphai Hindu and Imphai Christian were benefited with health checkup and free medicine during the camp apart from awareness program. On the day the unit has also facilitated the villagers with a store to purchase grocery and handloom products. While, the villagers extending their gratitude for the noble cause,urged the Assam Rifle battalion to organize such programs frequently to bring change among the community.Total Patient = 180.Female - 78, Male - 59 and Children - 43
