
Haflong, May ‘4:To promote good health and drive awareness about chronic and lifestyle diseases, the Haflong-based 43 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 22 Sector organised a free medical camp at village Fiangpui in Dima-Hasao district on.
The camp was inaugurated by the Col. R K Singh, Commandant, 43 Assam Rifles the Medical Camp was organized with an objective to make available essential medical services to the economically weaker section of the local populace. The medical camp was attended by hundreds of locals of all age groups, who were immensely benefited from the medical aid provided by team of Assam Rifles.
Around 145 male and female inhabitants including children’s and sr. citizens of the area were benefited with free consultation and free medication. During the the camp village communities were also made aware of preventive health, water born diseases and how to prevent them . Medical officer and the nursing staff from the 43 Assam Rifles, paramedical staff from the Holy Spirit Hospital rendered their services in the said camp.
