Haflong, August 9: Following the intervention of Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner as persuaded by the N C H ills Autonomous Council, the works on Haflong—Jatinga road is going on full swing.The feeder road from Jatinga to Haflong was allotted to Simplex few years back but could not be completed for known and unknown reasons causing immense inconvenience to the people for a long time.
The students were the worst sufferers for the poor condition of the road.
Few days back, DC Juri Phukan personally supervised the eviction drive to facilitate the work of the said road realising necessity of the completion of this vital road.
The Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council Debojeet Thaosen had also initiated the move for the early completion of the said road in the greater interest of the people. see p-3

Talking to this correspondent DC Juri Phukan disclosed that as the N C Hills Autonomous Council and the District Administration was working together with mutual understanding, the development of the district could be achieved genuinely.She expressing her satisfaction said “the present CEM Debojeet Thaosen has been maintaining a good reputation with the district administration; therefore I am also eager to help him out in his development activities throughout the district.”
“I hope the development of this tiny but beautiful district is sure to happen. The people of Dima Hasao are lucky enough to get a good and development minded leader as the Chief Executive Member Sri Thaosen” says the DC Jury Phukan.
