Haflong,October’15: The Bhartiya Janata Party(BJP),Dima Hasao district committee today staged a sit in protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office, Haflong in protest against Rampant corruption, deplorable road condition ,insufficient medical services, Irregular supply of drinking water and Irregular salaries to the employees of Normal Sector employees of Council and Staffs of Town Committee ,Haflong.
The dharna was also participated by the Mission Ranjan Das,Vice President BJP Assam Pradesh and In- charge Dima Hasao BJP district Committee; B B Hagjer ,President, Dima Hasao district committee and other leaders along with hundreds of party workers with banner ,poster placard and rasing slogan.
Mission Ranjan Das speaking to the media persons said that the congress led N.C. Hills Autonomous Council terming it total failure in serving the needs and aspiration of public as it has not implemented government schemes and indulging in practice of nepotism and corruption and has lost the privileges to be remain in power.
Latter, the BJP party worker submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Assam P B Acharya through the Deputy Commissioner to resolve and to find permanent solution to manage N C Hills Autonomous Council in a more attentive approach.
