Haflong, May 7: Demanding CBI enquiry to the kidnapping case of Jiban Kemprai, Dima Hasao Youth Congress, Mahila District Congress Committee and NSUI Dima Hasao District Committee have submitted a joint memorandum to the Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi through the Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao on May 3.
The memorandum stated that Jiban Kemprai, elder brother of EM of NCHAC and President of Dima Hasao District Congress Committee Mohendra Kemprai was kidnapped on gun point by some unidentified miscreants on 27th of January 2016. That even after the lapse of 3 months the law and order agencies of the district failed to trace out Jiban Kemprai which is a matter of surprise and serious concern. As such, they are demanding that the CBI may make enquiry into the matter.
Mention may be made here that many organisation and general public had already submitted numbers of memorandum to the DC of the district, took out rallies and staged dharna.
