Haflong, October 31, 2020 : NC Hills Autonomous Council CEM Debolal Gorlosa formally inaugurated newly constructed PHE water tank under Public Water System Supervision (PWSS) at Thaisiling Hawar village in Dima Hasao on October 31 last and is the first village to have 100% house to house water connectivity in Assam.
It was constructed under central scheme National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP).The water in the tank is brought through gravity line from a small constructed dam around 1km away from the village and is directly distribute for houses in lower parts of the village and for the upper parts the water is pump into a tank constructs in higher area of the village via water pump fully powered by solar energy and is distributed.
On the day the CEM also inaugurated newly constructed village block road and newly constructed public health centre.
He also laid foundation for construction of approach road to ‘madaikho’ a Dimasa workship place.
The CEM was accompanied Mrs. Gorlosa, NCHAC EM Samuel Changsan, EM Nandita Gorlosa, MAC Ratan Jarambusa, MAC Monjit Naiding.
Later formal celebration was held at the village common centre where the dignataries give their speech where large numbers of the villagers were present.
