Haflong, November 1, 2020 : Denis Teron, chairman of Umrongso Municipal Board on November 1, 2020 refuted the allegations leveled against him by some locals accusing him to have given facilitations only to his close relatives.
Earlier, Joybas Warisa the vice chairman has alleged that the chairman has published tender notice with back date in order to issue the tender persons close to him. The local residents also said that the rooms in the market are allotted to wealthy or government service holder and not to the board licencee holder.
Teron denied of alloments of any tenders to his relatives or close one, he said that it his first tender during after being appointed as a chairman. He also said that tender paper is still available at the office and people are currently filing quotations till Monday next.
He also said that morgue van being kept near his house is for the safety of the vehicle since there is no night chowkidar at the office as the vehicle may be damaged by some duning night.
He said that the vehicle is always available for service of the people and the vehicle has carried two bodies so far. He further said that if the public demands the vehicle to be kept at the town committee, it will be surely parked at the office premise.
Lastly he said that rooms in market were issued to the deserving people only.
