Haflong,
December 11, 2020 : B.Naiding has dismantled all his constructed structures in
PWD plot of land near Council Rotary, Haflong as required by PWD Department and
NCHills Autonomous Council.
It
may be noted that Mr. B.Naiding had constructed shops and other structured in a
plot of land belonging to PWD Haflong Building Division. As such, the Executive
Engineer of the division Mohit Deb lodged a complaint to Council against then encroachment
of the land.
Responding
to the complaint, the Secretary to the NCHills Autonomous Council has issued
eviction order and instructed Revenue department to carry out eviction.
So,
Revenue Officer P.Zeme visited the site with some Patowari. When the team
reached the site, Behari Naiding told the visiting official that he would
himself dismantle all the structures in encroach portion. As such, the official
left the site and when they visited the site the next day, Naiding has already
dismantled all structures like shop, etc. Within the encroached land.
Therefore, the problem was solved and there is no more problem.
As
such, the EE and RO clarify that no one should misunderstand about the matter as
if the Council or PWD had dismantled the structures by eviction drive.
The duo
said that the Council or PWD department did not dismantled those structures but
Naiding himself has done all as he had promised.
So, there is no more
misunderstanding among the Council, PWD and Naiding but all disputes has been settled
without understanding, they added.
