Haflong, March 30, 2021 : The first batch of Polling Personnel under 16-Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency started movement to respective Polling Stations from Election office, Haflong.
The first batch consists of 101 out of the total 246 Polling Stations under 16-Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency in Dima Hasao district.
The selected 101 Polling Stations are under 8 (eight) MAC Constituencies like 5-Jinam Valley, 13- Harangajao, 4-Mahur, 6-Maibang, 7-Khepre, 8- Langting, 9-Umrangso, 10- Diyungbra.
These constitiencies are considered to be remote and road conditions may be critical if rains occur. So, one extra day may be a strategic buffer to counter any exigency.
It may be noted that election will be held in 16-Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency on 1stApril 2021 during the second phase Assam Assembly Election 2021.
