Haflong, 1st August, 2021: Six days Awareness programme on Swachhata Pakhwada has been organized at Haflong commencing from today by Nehru Yuva Kendra in collaboration with Blue Hills Society.
The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Haflong in collaboration with Blue Hills Society, a Haflong based NGO have commenced a 6 days awareness programme on Swachhata Pakhwada.
In this connection, the NYK with members of Haflong based NGO Blue Hills Society, observed the pledge taking ceremony on Swachhata at Disgao Raji Youth Club. That was followed by reading of message by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene.
The programme was attended as as the resource person by Smt. Purabi Phonglo, District Information and Public Relation Officer, Haflong, Dima Hasao, in presence of Mr. Ringsaw Jidung, President of Disgao Welfare Youth Committee.
The programme was presided over by Mr. Thaisringdao Langthasa, President of Blue Hills Society; where members of Blue Hills Society and other youths of the locality were present.
Smt. Phonglo, explained and stressed on importance of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene.
Mr. Shringpaidao Jidung, General Secretary, BHS; told the media that Blue Hills Society will be organising a cleanliness & plantation drive followed by door to door campaigning in the village on Swachhata, Mr. Jidung highlighted the next program schedule of Swachhata Pakhwada.
