Miscreant burnt down one house, KIA demand to protect villagers, relief to the victim family

 


Haflong,
September 9, 2021 : Unidentified miscreants burnt down  one house to ashes of Molsang village in
Diger area at the night of September 6 and asked the villagers to leave the
village within three days or face dire consequence.



 



As per GB
of the village, four or five person unidentified persons, two of them with
sophisticated weapons entered Molsang village in that night and burnt down one
house to ashes and also assaulted one person.



 



They also
confiscated 2 sets of mobile phone of the villagers, Mr. Agou Doungel and Mr.
Lalthang Jomhao (M/no. 8474099616). Besides, the miscreants also asked the
villagers to quit the village within 3 (three) days or to face dire
consequences.



 



On
learning the news, the Kuki Inpi Assam (KIA) requested the Chief Executive Member
of N.C.Hills Autnomous Council and Deputy Commissioner for taking immediate
step to protect Molsang villager  and
provide relief materials  to  the 
family whose house and all properties had been burnt down by armed
miscreants.



 



The KIA
submitted a representation to the Chief Executive Member of N.C.Hills  Autnomous 
Council and Deputy Commissioner, with copy given for taking favourable
action to Superintendent of Police, 
President / Secretary of AABCC, JNH,DSU,ADSU,DMA, and DJH.



 



The KIA,
also request the authorities to take immediate action so that the villagers may
live peacefully without any disturbances and also provide edequote
rehabilitation to the family whose house have been burnt down with all
properties.



 



It may be
noted that Molsang village is one of the oldest recognized villages under Diger
Constituency.



 



The
villagers left the village for sometimes due to ethnic clash. But they have
occupied again few years ago as peace has returned in the district.
