15th March, 2023: For the first time, the
sale of agricultural rice was inaugurated today in a joint venture of Dima
Hasao District Agriculture Department and Department of Food and Civil Supplies
of District Autonomous Council under the “Paddy Procurement Programme” of the
State Government.
The
rice sale campaign was flagged off by the Principal Secretary of Dima Hasao
Autonomous Council, Thai Tsho Daulagupu. The programme was attended by Rupam
Dibragede, Deputy Director, Food and Civil Supplies Department of the Council,
Former District Agriculture Officer Ritwick Kemprai and officers and staff of
the District Agriculture Department.
Meanwhile, Maibang farmer, Rocket Jahori is
happy to be able to sell a total of 40 quintals of paddy at the Bhalukmari
Paddy Procurement Centre in Lanka for Rs 2,040.
