Dima Hasao witnesses peaceful polling, 85.78% voter turn out recorded

Haflong, 9th Jan, 2024:  The General Election to the 13th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council recorded 85.78% voter turn out. The furthest polling station reached the headquarters by early morning today.

Polling for 22 seats of the NCHAC began at 8 A.M. which concluded peacefully at 4 P.M. on 8th January, 2024 i.e. yesterday. Voting was held across 231 polling stations in 22 constituencies of the council in Dima Hasao district.

Counting for the 22 Member of Autonomous Counstituencies (MAC) will be held from early hours at 8 A.M. on 12th January next
