Lok Kalyan Divas observed in Dima Hasao Haflong: Lok Seva Puraskar awarded to one employee

Haflong, 05th August, 2026: Along with the rest of Assam, Lok Kalyan Divas was observed today in Dima Hasao district to mark the 76th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi.

The event was held at the District Commissioner’s Conference Hall in Haflong. Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Executive Member Donpainon Thaosen attended as the Chief Guest, alongside Executive Member Ms Probita Johori and District Commissioner Ms Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge, IAS and other officials were attended.

The programme commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tributes to the portrait of Gopinath Bordoloi.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Thaosen urged government employees to perform their duties with honesty and dedication to ensure public benefit and district growth.

District Commissioner Ms Gayatri Devi Helinge, IAS, in her speech stressed on how important dedication and efficiency of each employee is important for a public servant. She encouraged the officers and employees present to serve the public with enhanced dedication.

Assistant Commissioner Ms Junali Devi Singh, ACS, delivered the welcome speech, outlining the state government's mandate to honor exceptional public servants with the state-recognized awards.

Marking the occasion, the prestigious state government-instituted Lok Sewa Purushkar, 2026 was conferred upon Jatan Kemprai, MTS at the Haflong District Commissioner’s office, in recognition of his loyalty, efficiency, and exemplary public service.
