Continuing with its Civic Action Programmes, the Haflong based 25 Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles provided certain essential Sports Items and PA Equipment to village Dibruchhera, District Dima Hasao, reports the AR.
The Commandant, 25 Assam Rifles handed over the Sports Items and PA equipment to Gaon Burah of the village Dibruchhera in presence of secretary and other village members on 18 Jan 2014. Commandant all present assured that the Assam Rifles will continue to do goodwill projects in remote villages of Dima Hasao District with an aim of connecting with the people. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for helping the village and providing assistance to them.
The gesture of 25 Assam Rifles under the Directorate General Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme (CAP) will help to foster good relations between the locals and the security forces. The Sports Items and PA Equipment would not only be useful for the local populace during various sports events but also help them indirectly to preserve and protect their rich cultural heritage. The villagers in turn assured whole hearted support the security forces in the area.
