Road Blocked by HSDP










Haflong, January’16: The HSDP,Dima Hasao today called a road blocked and sit in protest from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM at DD Road between Lower Haflong Railway Gate and Diyungbra and on Passi-Garampani Road between Umrangshu 13 KM and Diyungbra; blame the Assam Govt and Ruling Congress in N.C.Hills Autonomous Council for the delay in completion and renovation works on the roads connecting the district and even the most important roads of Haflong, which are now in a deplorable condition 
Earlier as published in in our daily on 25th December’2013, HSDP has warned  the Govt in intensifying its agitation program by blocking roads seep-4 from 16th January on wards. To be mention that the renovation and repair works of Passi-Garampani between Umrangshu-Lanka and DD Road between Haflong-Lanka is not been completed since long. While the party is determined to resort and intensify its agitation program like further blocked of road for 3 days if the government fails to complete the repair works of the said roads and to protest against non completion of renovation work the deplorable road communication in the district immediately said Suraj Naiding, President, HSDP, Haflong,Dima Hasao in a Press release . The 12 Hr road blocked made complete halt to traffic and vehicular movement in this roads, while few picketers were arrested by the police and so far no violence have been reported till report came in. Hills State Democratic Party(HSDP) leaders: Depolal Hojai(Ex-CEM), Suraj Naiding(President), Jayanta Nunisa(Secretary) along with other party activists pose for photo during the 12-hour Road Blockade Programme against non-completion of the renovation/repair work of D.D Road (between Lower Haflong to Diyungbra) and Parsi Garampani Road(between Umrangso 13 kilo and Diyungbra) on Thursday in Haflong. The party also made it clear that if the Govt. fails to complete the repair work of the two roads immediately, they will further organise agitation programme such as 3-day Road Blockade in the near future.
