Haflong Feb 11 : Major General Gopal R, Sena Medal took over the baton of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) from Major General Satish Dua, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal. He is the second Inspector General of this new Headquarter responsible for coordination of operation in South Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and Western Manipur.
Major GeneralGopal R, Sena Medal in his illustrious career spanning over three decades in Indian Army,has had important command, staff and instructional appointments, including the honour of being in faculty of a Defence Command and Staff College of a foreign country.
