Feb 10,2014 : Assam Rifles took over a Company Operating Base at Thaijuwari in April 2012.After regular interaction with villagers, it was known that the area was deprived of electricity which is a basic amenity in today’s world,inform the AR today in a press release.
The request of villagers was brought to the notice of the Battalion Headquarter and this issue was raised at various forums by the Commandant and the Sector Commander, which also included talks with Development Commissioners of Hills and Barak Valley, .For modernization and security of the village, provisioning of 25 KVA Three Phase Transformer was a necessity. The electrification of village by providing 25 KVA Three Phase Transformer will further cement the relationship between security forces and the civilians and also generate goodwill in future. With this the Haflong based Assam Rifles Battalion has added another feather in its Civic Action Programme.
