Haflong, April 1,2014 : The children of Emmanuel Orphan Home at Moulhoi were pleasantly surprised when they were provided with stationery items, sweets and ration on Monday 31 Mar 2014. The assistance was extended by the President of Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association, Haflong, MrsNeelamJha, on the occasion of the Second Raising Day of Headquarter 22 Sector Assam Rifles. The Orphan home is a nonprofit institute for the orphans and destitute children and is dependent on aid and donations.
During her interaction with the children, MrsNeelamJha, urged them to work hard for a bright future. The children and the staff appreciated the kind gesture extended to them. Apart from undertaking people friendly operations, such initiatives present a humane face of the Assam Rifles and strengthen the bond with the locals.
