125th Birth Anniversary of Nehru and Children’s Day Observed in Dima Hasao

Haflong, Nov14: The 125th birth anniversary of JL Nehru and Children’s day was observed in Haflong,  at Govt boys HS School.

The program started with welcome speech from S K Barmon, Principal,attended by Kulendra Daulagupu, EM for Education as Chief Guest while Gaytri Naiding ,Inspector of School attended as guest of honour. Daulagupu in his address highlighted Nehruji with the importance on cleanliness and roll of children’s  in making the nation stronger . Gayatri also delivered valuable speech.
On the day the organising committee conducted competition on various events such as colourful Dance, Singing, Fancy Dress, Story Telling, Drawing-Painting and Caption Writing. Where hundreds of students from different school like Songpijang  High School ,Muolhoi High Scholl, Dibarai High School ,G C Langthasa High Scholl  apart from govt. boys HS School  took part. Latter, the function was ended with prize distribution ceremony and signing  National Anthem.
