As part of the Mega Block works MG/BG cut & connect activity at 88 locations has been completed out of 102 locations and 11 lac cum of earthwork has since been done during mega block out of 14 lac cum, says Borah in the release.
Track linking of BG line is also progressing at various locations of Lumding-Silchar route. Already a Broad Gauge diesel engine has been rolled on a trial basis from Pathorkhola to Debalong station, a distance of 26 km on 6.11.2014 and it expected to complete track linking further up to Dautohaja i.e., Km 75 by November end. Lining work is Tunnel No.10 is progressing at pace of 10 meters per day.
With the pace of present progress, N.F.Railway is confident to complete the project by 31.03.2015.
