HAFLONG, Haflong News, May 9 : Relief materials were distributed, to the victims of recent heavy rainfall in Harangajao and Ditokchera, on 28 April 2016 by ‘A Ray of Hope’ (AROH) Society, reports the society sources.
The report stated that many families are rendered homeless with starvation due to the recent persistent rainfall, landslide, soil erosion, flood, damaged residential places, houses, road, paddy field, etc.
According to AROH, the people of Harangajao and Ditokcherra area are one of the worst affected in the district. As such, the leaders and members of ‘AROH’ Society extended helping hand by distributing relief materials, such as food items, clothes, kerosene, candle etc. to the affected families of Harangajao and Ditokcherra.on April 28,2016.
The Socity thanks to the authorities of Food & Supply Department and the Merchants’ Associetion of Haflong market for providing them food and other relief materials; and Medical Department for providing life saving medicines.
