Haflong, April 30: Suresh Kalita M. Sc, a teacher of Maibang Higher Secondary School demonstrtated scientific action - reaction of chemical with his own devices on April 30 in a “Scientific Hand Made Items Demonstration” Programme organized by All Dimasa Students’ Union in collaboration with the office of Inspector of Schools at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School.
During the programme, Suresh Kalita performed demonstration on - 1. Experimental verification of the harmfulness of smoking of cigarettes; 2. Production of energy from the Waste materials; 3. Experimental demonstration of wind blow; 4. method of test of liquid fuels, milk oil etc.; 5. Demonstration of energy of wave ; 6. Drawing of different geometrical shapes using magnates and electric energy; and 7. Demonstration of a handmade instrument to play holi.
The programme was graced by the Joint Director Health & Family Welfare Dr. Dipali Barman as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the demonstration in her short speech and thanked Kalita as well as the organizers, ADSU. She also encourage for organising such programme in future, too.
The show was also witnessed by Asst. Commissioner Bhaskar Dutta Das; Inspector of School, i/c Addl. Director ,Higher Education Smt. Gayatri Naiding Daulagupu; Principal of Haflong Govt. College Dr. M. Rehman; Principal of Boys Higher Secondary School S.H Barman; and teachers and students from different schools of Haflong area.
